Accurate & Fast is a handgun clinic perfect for the shooter who wants to grow ability, confidence and skill in high precision with a handgun, then refining drawing and transition skills in order to do so at urgent speeds, such as in competition or in a defensive situation when having to shoot quickly and very precisely up close or out at longer distances (out to 25 yards).
We’ll start at Noon at the Rio Salado Sportsman’s Club Commercial Training Bay 2, which is near the Shotgun area of the range, with large log walls on both sides of the bay. Parking is available in the parking lot in front of Training Bay 1.
Range Fee:
There is also a Range Fee of $20 that will need to be paid in cash prior to the start of the training, so please bring that with you.
If you want to get a quality holster for before this class, we enthusiastically endorse Brent Hickmon of Haven Defense Co. (970-987-3471) for an excellent, custom-made holster. Brent is also an instructor with Defenders USA; he and his lovely wife make holsters on a full-time basis for incredible shooters all over America.
Items needed:
Handgun (or we have handguns available for free use or rent – depending on the model you want to use)
2 to 3 magazines (if a semi-auto or striker fire handgun)
250 to 400 rounds of ammunition, if only attending the morning portion
Quality holster & sturdy belt (feel free to call with any holster questions), drawing from AWIB or strong side hip carry (open or concealed).
(NOTE: ***NO SERPA holsters or of similar design, NO collapsible holsters, NO sticky or pocket holsters, NO bra holsters, NO shoulder holsters, and NO purse holsters!!)
Closed-toes shoes
No shirts with plunging neck lines and a hat with a brim is highly recommended.
Eye & ear protection and a hat with a brim to the front
Enough liquids to drink, as it will likely be hot, along with any snacks desired.
This is an outdoor range, so whatever clothing layers needed for the weather of that day.

We will be picking up the brass on the range at the end of the course and your assistance in doing so would be greatly appreciated.
This course will be taught by Adam Winch, Defenders USA’s founder and Lead Instructor. Adam is a certified Master Instructor, certified RDS Instructor, along with multiple other instructor certifications. He has over a decade as a law enforcement officer, on a SWAT team, eight years as an MP and soldier, and has trained over 20k people teaching across the American West.
