This training is set up so there are a few slots where you can attend just one day of this training (Saturday or Sunday) but most spots will be for both days.
Saturday will be held at Last Chance Handgunners Range near Boulder, MT., starting at 8:30 am.
Sunday will be at two locations near each other Whitehall, MT area at the Amish Daily Farm AirBnB & Farm, and we will later be moving to a different location nearby. This day will start at 1 pm so that we will be able to do some of the work in lower light and dark environments.
Saturday is a range day, learning and practicing handgun use in and around cover, shooting quickly and precisely, while taking in considerations of what bullets do when used in homes, or penetrate standard walls, and while using or holding flashlights.
We will start with working on refining handling and shooting principles, while growing speed and accuracy, and with the context of having to access a gun within the home to use in the defense of life.
Approximately 250 to 350 rounds of ammunition will be needed for this range day.
On Sunday, we will be working in a controlled environment while learning to deal with a door kicked in during the middle of the night, where and how to best secure your families, how and where to bunker, clearing a home or buildings if needed, etc.
We will be covering response techniques, light use, considerations of shooting within homes and buildings, how to do so, protecting others with you, defending yourself within a home or in buildings if alone, shooting from concealment and cover, responding to multiple attackers, and more.
This will be learning the same tactics law enforcement would use if having to clear, move through, or engage those of evil intent in a home, a business, a building, or even in an active shooter situation.
We will also be learning best practices to bunker in place since most homes do not have a “Safe Room”, or how to if needing to flee with your family, as well as addressing what should be protected with force and what is not worth fighting to protect.
You will also be doing some “Force-on-Force” training, using handguns that shoot rubber bullets as you put all the training together and go through scenarios against hostile intruder(s) and aggressors.
Friday is a range day but Saturday will be in a “cold” environment, meaning no live ammunition allowed, and the training will be with your own firearm and the gear you would normally have with you in your daily life or access to in your own home.
