Dry Fire Clinic – Corpus Christi, TX – May 30th, 2026

This popular Handgun Dry Fire Clinic is being hosted by the fantastic Corpus Christi area chapter facilitator, Kimberly Ballenger of A Girl & A Gun Woman’s Shooting League and will be led by Defenders USA’s Adam Winch.

This Dry Fire Clinic location is:

Corpus Christi Gun Club
2832 FM 763
Corpus Christi, TX 78415

There is a “facilities fee” of $5 per person already included for the use of the CCGC facilities and Defenders USA will be paying for that out of the registration fees.

We will start at 9 am but it would be very helpful if you would arrive at least 15 minutes early, so we can get certain administrative duties out of the way before beginning.

This clinic is intended for semi-automatic handguns from appendix (AIWB) or strong side holsters from open or concealed carry, with the goal to build or refine a fast, efficient, and consistent draw stroke. We take a deep dive into technique and diagnosing of grip, stance, platform, appropriate use of various aiming systems and needs, trigger use and control, safe holstering, loading and magazine manipulations, etc.
A main goal of this is to help you learn how to keep growing your handgun skills and to train yourself long after this is over in order to maintain and grow skills on the range and in real life defensive situations far beyond this clinic.

Items Needed:

NO live ammo!!
– Handgun, holster, at and least one magazine but preferably two magazines. A magazine carrier may be helpful as well.
– Any other items normally used in dry fire practice, such as a Mantis, Barrel-Blok, or other such similar items and systems.

Optional Items:
– Note taking materials
– Any snacks or non-alcoholic beverages you might want during the training. There might be snacks and water available but bring whatever you might want.

***NOTE:
Once you arrive for this clinic, Please do not remove handguns from any holsters or bags until directed to by Defenders USA or other safety personnel!

Everything will be checked multiple times over prior to starting the training in order to verify that NO live ammo could possibly be in any guns and that all live ammo is away from where we will be doing the training.

We’ll start at 9 am and end around Noon’ish.

Come with a sense of humor and ready to learn a ton while having a lot of fun, and you will discover how well you’ll grow your own shooting skills and learning how to build your own skills through effective dry fire.
