This a combined Defensive Handgun I and II course, starting at basic defensive handgun skills / handling and taking the skills all the way to where the shooter is highly competent with handling and fighting with a handgun in defense of life. This all day training course(s) will take a completely new-to-handgun student and help them be able to efficiently and effectively handle and fight in defense of life with a handgun. The training will also highly enhance, and likely change and refine, the handling and shooting skills of anyone who is already a highly trained handgun user.

This will be conducted at Rocky Mountain Gun Club’s indoor “Tactical Bay” in Grand Junction and combines both the Defensive Handgun I Course starting in the morning and then continuing into the Defensive Handgun II Course, building on and continuing all the skills learned earlier in the day.
Come train yourself to be highly proficient, safe, accurate, quick, and professionally trained for use, handling, and defense of life with a handgun!

This course is also an excellent refresher for any Defenders Series grads, DH1 and DH2 grads, and for any professional firearms carrier. For returning students, we look forward to seeing you again!

Testimonials

Thank you for offering this class.  I learned so much and have become so comfortable with guns that I no longer tense at the sight of them or run into another room while they are out.  I have always grown up around them, even shot them before, but was never offered the time to actually spend many hours learning the functions and the right rules on the usage of guns.

During the Defenders course, At first I couldn’t understand why I needed to learn all the different ways of standing or laying down to shoot a gun, but by the time the course was over it all came together and made perfect sense.  Now not only do I feel comfortable holding a gun, I feel comfortable moving and holding a gun!  Because in the real world we are never standing still when approached by an intruder whether in our home or out and about.  Learning the movements of our “own” bodies or for better words, the lack thereof in a stressful situation is key in proper usage and accurate shooting.

Not only was the course (information and physical involvement) awesome, the individuals that were there to help us every step of the way, were only supportive and encouraging!

Great team of experts!
