Bears Ears Sportsmans Club
Handgun Speed & Precision is perfect for the civilian, military, or LEO shooter who wants develop their speed and precision from the holster, either concealed or open carry. This is excellent for those who wants to really refine in both areas far beyond where most training goes, working from either duty gear or from concealment. This course intended for those who already have a decent to high degree of skill in basic handgun fundamentals, although we will spend time there as needed.
We’ll start at 8:30 am at the Bears Ears Sportman’s Complex, and end around 4:30 to 5 pm.
As the title says, this day will focus on going fast and being highly accurate. We’ll start with high accuracy and move into adding speed from the holster, as a fast, accurate first round on target from a holster is necessary in a defense of life situation.
A quality holster is a must in this course, so if you aren’t sure if your holster is of decent to good quality, contact us as soon as possible, because if you need a good holster, it will take some time to order one and get it shipped to you.
If you want to get a holster for before this class, feel free to contact us (Adam @ 970-986-0774) and we’ll help you select a high-quality holster versus the many less-than-good holsters in all the local gun stores. We are also huge fans of Haven Defense Co. holsters (www.HavenDefenseCo.com), a holster-making company local to the Colorado Western Slope.
This will be a thoughtful, careful training session in order to build skill. We will be focused completely on getting the objectives of this class exactly right and repeatable for each shooter, with expert nuisances built into grip, stance, excellent and speedy draw strokes, and high precision, both up close and at extreme distances.
